  • Roll Bar for Track Days

I was just curious if anyone had experience with taking their Panoz to a track day event. I tried to enter one but was told I needed a roll bar because of the car being a convertible. Of course I argued that there is a piece of steel in the roof but I didn't win that fight.

If you do have experience did you have to install a roll bar? And if so does anyone one make a dual roll hoop kind of set up?

    Thanks
    Craig

    Esperante rollbar

    Morning Craig,
The last person who owned my first Esperante was setting it up for track events and this is where he went for a rollbar

    Hope it helps.

Perfect, thanks for the info. And to answer your question from the other thread yes I plan on doing some update but nothing nonreversible. Hopefully when the economy turns around I can send the car up to JRD for some rims, brakes, suspension, interior and engine work. I like what they did for Brian Johnson's (AC/DC lead singer) Esperante.

How about you? Do any work to that GTLM of yours?

BTW sounds like we switched places. I was in Secaucus for a few years then moved down to Davie.

My GTLM is pretty stock except for some Johan magic JRD style, Cabon Fiber slam panel, smaller pully and re-tune to get more HP out of the engine. Johan talked me into the HD headlights and the update for the fuel filler hose. Now that I read on here that there are only 33 GTLM's I think thats all I am going to do.
