  • Gas leaking from evap canister again

99 Roadster. Noticed this time that fuel level was past Full. After driving for a bit (5 miles) the canister is leaking gas.

This is the black box located directly to the left of the gas tank....looks like this:

    So my questions are:

    1. Do I need to replace the evap canister or will the liquid gas dissipate over time leaving the activated charcoal viable?

    ...and...

    2. What is supposed to be stopping liquid gas from getting into the evap canister as it seems it doesn't work on over fills?

    TIA

    Sean

Wish I could help out on this question. I have not had any issues with gas fumes. Please let us know if you needed to replace the canister to solve the problem.
