    So I had a service engine light come on last month while on a couple hour mile drive through Oregon wine country and the foothills of the cascade mountains. (good run) anyways all vitals were in good shape and after inspecting under the hood I felt car was in good shape to run. The next day I took it down to Autozone and they did a FREE code download and it reported I either had a loose gas cap or a vac leak on the EVAC system. (you cant do that with a Ferrari) I inspected and reinstalled the gas cap, then inspected the hoses to the EVAC; all seemed to look good. The light remained on for a couple of weeks and I thought I might have to stop by a dealership to reset the codes but a buddy of mine told me I could just unhook the battery and kill the power to the computer and it would reset itself.



    One down side to the Panoz is the battery location. I proceeded to lift the front of the car, take off the front passenger wheel and then unscrew the 3 screws holding the inner wheel well liner. After wreastling out the liner I found the battery inside the fender well. I unhooked the battery terminals and let the power remain off for a few minutes while I took some time to inspect the front end and brakes, vacuum out some dirt and small rocks I found in the inner fender quarters. I cleaned and sprayed protectant on the terminal ends and replaced everything back together. Sure enough it took care of it and I had a few ran it a few times without any further service light.
