Clogged Fuel Injection?

Do to the economy I have Had My Panoz Esperante' in storage for two years. I did get it to start and out of the garage today. The idle speed was surging from 400 to 1200. Then she quit. I do have spark as it would fire with starting fluid.

Where is the best place to purge the fuel line?

And I guess I have to pull the fuel rail and injector for cleaning.

You may want to start with checking fuel pressure on the rail.
The Schrader valve is located on the passenger side front of engine on the
Fuel rail. It should be at least 30 psi minimum and higher when running.
I would doubt you have a injector problem.

Today I called Panoz and got some insight.
Checked the 20A fuse it was good.
Turn Ignition on and listen for the electric fuel pump...no sound
Also there is no pressure on the fuel rail at the schrader valve.

OK, its a bad fuel pump like John told me (he had one go out too).

To get to the fuel pump mount inside top of the tank....

Take the seats out not require but recommended. (15mm socket)
Remove carpet from behind the seats. (snaps velcro and 3 screws)
Remove aluminum panel from behind the seats (about 12-16 screws).
Two of those are 1/2 way behind the consul (arrrg!).
Access granted to fuel system 6 bolts (8mm heads).

This is as far as I got. It is very muggy out and no A/C in my garage!
I hope I dont have to remove the package tray.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Most jobs on a Panoz are easy, the fuel pump is not one of them.

It is a PITA. had to move the charcoal canister, cut six zip ties and finally got the pump cover off the tank now to get the pump out of the tank (which is full). It is sitting there submerged

It would have been nice if the had an access hatch above the pump in the package tray

Very tight space to work in.
Can't get my big mits on the pump assy to pull it out.
Not sure if there areany clip on it inside the tank.
May have to go to Auto Parts store and check out replacement.
I may have to cut an access hatch thru the package tray.
