  • Oil recommendations???

Thinking about running some synthetic oil in the Panoz on the next change. I don't see any recommendations in the owners manual. Anyone had some good and/or bad experiences with the synthetics?

    Royal Purple vs Mobile1

I run Shell Helix 5w 40 in several Ferraris and have never had a probelm.

I use Mobile1 in my car now. I haven't seen any issues with seal leaks or anything. I just got the car last year so I haven't had it long enough to even change the oil again since I put it in. I plan to just change it annually since I drive the car less than 5K a year.

I'm running Mobil 1 with a K&N filter. Also switched to a K&N air filter. Running well, no leaks.

          oils

I use Mobil 1 for the engine but all other lubricants are Red Line. They make great stuff .

Also, regarding Royal Purple, check out BP challenge to their claims.

Good report. Thanks for the link. Have you changed your rear end fluids. I was thinking about doing mine. Not many miles but it is 9 years old?

              lubricants

Yeah, when I got the car, I had every liquid and grease in it changed. I went with Red Line for the rear also. I forget the exact number but mechanic said it would be best for gears but noisy. I told him that I can't hear anything except the exhaust and wind anyway. LOL
