Electric Window Conversion

So my 2001 Esperante side windows catch a little on the convertable top lip when I close the door. I am wondering if the later models drop down a little when you open and close the door for clearance. I think this is fairly common on cars now but perhaps not back then. I think I'm going to check with Ford to see if their convertable mustang electric window motors do this and then call Panoz and see if these are the motors they use and if they have done any conversions.

ANY THOUGHT?
